Sacred Heart of Jesus School of
Highland Falls Hosts Its 2nd...

What: Many trucks including a fire truck, police car, limousine, bucket truck, Army Humvee, "The Pet Mobile", motorcycle, ... Plus games, bouncy house, arts and crafts, entertainment, vendors, food concessions, ice cream, beverages, and so much more.

When: Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 11-4pm, Rain or Shine

What a "Touch a Truck" (TAT) Event is all about:

A TAT fundraising event is a community wide event where kids (and adults) have the opportunity to see, touch, interact with and learn about dozens of cool vehicles. From fire trucks to motorcycles, cement trucks to police cars, UPS trucks to garbage trucks, limos to buses.

How often does anyone get to look inside any of these unusual vehicles and get to talk to someone who operates them? And kids of all ages love these loud and unique vehicles.

Parent supervision is required, and cameras are highly recommended.

The first 100 children attending will receive a free yellow hard hat toy.

Our event will have an area especially for vendors (w/no admission to shop their merchandise - separate from the TAT entrance). There will be food/beverage concessions, popcorn/cotton candy, ice cream, (at an additional charge). With Admission price: Patrons will peruse many TAT vehicles, enjoy artists of various talents from magician, clown, caricature portraits to face painting and arts/crafts for the children. We also hope to have a story teller, some music, and a representative from the Highlands Nature Museum entertaining a few hours during this event. In addition, there will be a bouncy house/a rock wall to climb. A program with complete agenda will be available closer to date.

So get ready to attend the first of what we hope to be Sacred Heart School's annual hosting of "Touch a Truck", a Family/Community Event & a Fun Day for all!!!
